European Commission Regulation (EC) No 852/2004

From 1 January 2006, new EU food hygiene legislation has applied throughout the UK in the form of The Food Hygiene (England) Regulations 2006 which consists of 3 basic EU food hygiene regulations.

One of these regulations, Regulation (EC) No 852/2004 states "food business operators shall ensure that all stages of production, storage & distribution of food under their control satisfy the relevant hygiene requirements laid down in this Regulation". With this in mind, we provide a warehouse cleaning service performed to recognised standards to ensure that our clients can achieve high levels of hygiene throughout their facilities.

Why We Do It

Our aim is to provide a complete service designed to systematically and comprehensively clean and sanitise all areas, surfaces, plant, fixtures and fittings within ambient or chilled food warehouse facilities. In particular the focus will be on the high levels and those difficult to access areas requiring the use of specialist powered access equipment.

To compliment this service, we can arrange to undertake microbiological swab testing before and after cleaning with the results verified by independent laboratory analysis. Standard tests normally include Total Viable Count (TVC) including bacteria, yeast and mould counts and Enterobacteriaceae but other pathogenic organisms including Listeria monocytogenes, Staphylococcus aureus and Campylobacter can be routinely tested for, depending on your personal requirements.

These results will validate the effectiveness of the cleaning procedures and form an integral part of your Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) system.
